Following a terrorist attack in a Bamako hotel for foreign diplomats, four survivors return to their homes while a Malian officer investigates the incident. As the investigator and survivors report on the events to their superiors, haunted by the ghosts of the attackers and plagued by political games, they begin to unravel the roles that each of them played in precipitating the attack.
